A gentle place that is neither indoor nor outdoor —
something like the Japanese engawa, half outside.
A place to play, to study,
to talk, to rest,
to build new work together with others.
Our purpose is to design the ma — the space
between people, places, and time.
What we design is not only visible form. It is the relationships between people, between spaces, between moments — the silence, blank, and "uselessness" that lives in between.
HAN-OKU is a place of adjustment
between all kinds of relationships.
We hope to contribute to society by designing,
building, and offering such places as a service.
Let's invest in the future of our children.
